ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan, Justice Anwer Zaheer Jamali has taken suo moto notice of political interference in Sindh Police and converted the note of Justice Ameer Hani into petition.
Supreme Court has taken notice of news of interference of a political figure’s ‘Front man’ in Sindh police. In this connection Chief Justice Ameer Hani Muslim, in his note, had declared political intervention in Sindh Police a violation of Karachi unrest verdict, on which Chief Justice Supreme Court took suo moto notice after converting the note into petition.
Meanwhile, Supreme Court has sought reply from government over withdrawal of SSP South Farooq Ahmed’s transfer, stating that SSP South removal orders were released over Ovais Shah’s abduction, who restored him, while the court has summoned Chief Secretary, Interior Secretary, IG Sindh and others on July 4.
