Guangzhou: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif chaired Investment Conference in Guangzhou on sixth day of the China visit while she announced to establish a working group, appoint focal persons, and set up a help desk.
Over 60 prominent companies from China and Hong Kong participated in the round table conference.
Representatives from sectors like health, artificial intelligence, agriculture, IT, waste management, and solar energy attended.
Chinese companies provided detailed briefings about their organizations to the Chief Minister Punjab.While recommendations reviewed on Pak-China Free Trade.
CM Maryam Nawaz has invited Chinese technology companies to commence operations in Punjab. On the other hand Chinese companies expressed strong interest in investing in Punjab.
She decided to facilitate Chinese companies through a one-window operation. CM Maryam Nawaz called Punjab a “Land of Opportunity” for Chinese investors.
The CM thanked participants and provided a detailed briefing on Punjab’s economic, geographical, and business significance.
Chinese representatives appreciated her vision and praised Punjab’s “No to Plastic” campaign for environmental protection.
“We are banning the sale and production of plastic harmful to the environment.” CM stated.
“The Zero Waste Mission under Clean Punjab is underway, and we welcome Chinese collaboration in this effort.” CM stated.
“Projects to convert waste into renewable energy are being launched.” CM stated. “Agriculture is being modernized through mechanization.” CM stated.
“We are focusing on renewable energy sources like windmills and solar power for affordable electricity.” CM stated.
“Industrial reforms are being introduced to improve the ecosystem.” CM stated.
“Mega projects for solarization in Punjab are already in motion, and we welcome Chinese partnerships.” CM stated.
