LAHORE: As many as 11,000 sacks full of wheat have been recovered in an action to foil a conspiracy to create an artificial shortage of wheat in Punjab.
Food department Punjab taking a crackdown against hoarding has recovered more than seven thousand wheat sacks In Noorowal while 4, 900 wheat sacks from Kot Chattha, however, no arrest has been made in the crackdown.
On successful operation, provincial minister for food Abdul Aleem Khan said that the crackdown against hoarders has made a target of wheat purchase easy and people of Punjab will not face a shortage of wheat.
