Sargodha (June 30, 2017): Relatives and friends of incarcerated MNA Jamshed Dasti staged protest demonstration outside Sargodha jail against not allowing them to meet the lawmaker in prison.
As per details, Sargodha Prison official did not allow Dasti relative and friend to meet him in the jail, where he is kept on judicial remand in a case of possession illegal arms.

They demanded of the jail administration to allow them to meet Dasti and also condemned what they said worst torture Dasti was being subjected to in the prison.
The administration said that only blood relative can meet Dasti and other had to take permission from Home Secretary.
Meanwhile, Jail Administration gave Dasti ‘B‘Class in the prison and a ‘Mushaqati’ was also provided to him. Under B class, an inmate is also allowed to cook food of his own liking.
Yesterday, Dasti had appealed to Chief Justice of Pakistan to take suo motu notice of what he said inhuman torture he was subjected to by police during custody.
On Thursday, the outspoken MNA was produced in an anti-terrorism court in a case for possessing illegal arms.
However, due to absence of ATC judge for being on leave the hearing could not held.
Later, he was produced before a Session Judge, who sent him to jail on judicial remand. The next hearing of the case will be held in ATC on July 3, 2017.
Talking to media on the occasion, Dasti had claimed that police subjected him to inhuman and worst torture. He has said that he was being targeted as political revenge.
He had revealed that he was being subjected to forces starvation and had not eaten anything for the last six day. “My cancer patient sister and ailing mother are not being allowed to meet me. police is deliberately letting loose mice in my barrack,” he added.
It is to be mentioned here that last night all the cases against Dasti were transferred to ATC Sargodha from DG Khan.
