Islamabad: Judicial Commission has decided to give priority to the preparation of the rolls for the appointment of judges.
Announcement of the meetings of the Judicial Commission was issued, according to which a 5-member committee was established under the chairmanship of Justice Jamal Mandukhel, Attorney General, Barrister Ali Zafar, Farooq H. Naik and Akhtar Hussain are included in the advocate committee.
According to the statement, the committee will also get the services of Secretary Judicial Commission and two research officers. On December 15, the draft of the Judicial Commission Rules will be prepared and shared with the members.
In the meeting, Justice Shahid Bilal Hasan has also been approved to be made a member of the Constitution Bench. In the second meeting of the commission, the issue of appointment of additional judges of Peshawar High Court was postponed.
According to the statement, the appointment of additional judges in the Sindh High Court has also been postponed till December 21. Justice Adnan Al Karim Memon and Justice Agha Faisal have been approved to be appointed members of the constitution bench of the Sindh High Court.
