Dengue attacks intensified in twin cities as 180 cases reported

Rawalpindi: Dengue attacks have intensified in twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi as 180 cases reported in hours while the confirmed cases have climbed to 7417.

Attacks of dengue increased in Rawalpindi as number of deaths climbed to 16 in the current season.

Despite anti-dengue campaign 141 cases surfaced in just one day in Rawalpindi. While number of patients receiving treatment in Allied Hospital climbed to 261.

Whereas the number of patients turned positive from the virus in the current season have jumped to 4427.

As many as 60 cases reported in district Rawalpindi while 60 cases reported in district Potohar .
Whereas 19 cases surfaced from the limits of municipal corporation while 35 cases reported from Rawalpindi cantonment.

On the other hand 8 cases reported from Chaklala cant while Potohar rural reported 13 cases Kular Syeda and Taxila rural reported 2 cases each.

As many as 5110 FIRs have registered against citizens over surfing of Larva in violation of SOPs while 1799 buildings were sealed and 3240 Callahan were conducted over getting dengue larva.

According to the District Health Officer (DHO) Islamabad as many as 2990 were tested positive for the dengue virus.

As many as 40 people turned positive for the dengue virus in the rural areas of Islamabad while the number of over all patients from rural areas have climbed to 1899.

Whereas the dengue virus effected 20 people in the urban areas of Islamabad.
