Dushanbe (July 6, 2017): Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will have a busy day here today. He is scheduled to participate in the quadrilateral meeting of CASA 1000 to be attended by President of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan at Pugus Varzob Valley and will also witness an exhibition of agricultural products today.
The Prime Minister will have a busy day today as he will also participate in a trilateral meeting of Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, before heading back home from the two-day official visit of Tajikistan on the invitation of President Emomali Rahmon.

Meanwhile, Tajikistan President Emomali Rahmon hosted a dinner in honor of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and members of his entourage in Dushanbe.
The Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA-1000) will help overcome power load-shedding in Pakistan.
CASA-1000 will put in place the contractual and institutional arrangements, and the transmission infrastructure, to facilitate the export of 1,300 megawatts of already available surplus electricity in the summer months from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to Afghanistan and Pakistan.
