LAHORE: Several cities across Punjab, including the federal capital Islamabad, experienced tremors on Tuesday.
Apart from Islamabad, residents in Lahore, Gujranwala, Mandi Bahauddin, Jhelum, Okara, Sheikhupura, Pind Dadan Khan, and surrounding areas felt the quake.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the earthquake measured 4.7 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 18 kilometers.
Following the tremors, residents recited the Kalima and rushed out of their homes in fear.
Rescue authorities reported damage to multiple houses in Pind Dadan Khan. In Jalalpur Sharif, the collapse of a building resulted in the death of a 13-year-old boy.
