ISLAMABAD: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has summoned reply from PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh for violating Code of Conducts of the by-elections held on NA-205 in Ghotki.
As the hearing commenced, lawyer representing Haleem Adil Sheikh alleged PPP of rigging by-polls.
The lawyer complained that ECP did not pay heed to PTI’s claims of rigging done by PPP, rubbishing accusations onto the PTI leader for breaching the code of conducts.
Earlier on July 23, taking action on a complaint of PPP, ECP expelled Haleem Adil Sheikh and other MPAs from Constituency NA-205 (Ghotki-II).
PPP wrote a letter to ECP, complaining that PTI leaders were entering the polling stations and threatening those who had reached to case their votes.
To this, ECP expelled MNA Dua Bhutto, Haleem Adil Sheikh and also PPP member Ali Nawaz Meher from NA-205 constituency. It banned the leaders from entering Ghotki until the by-polls are concluded.
