LAKKI MARWATl: Security forces have shot dead 12 terrorists during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Lakki Marwat, the police stated.
In a statement, police said the terrorists belonged to Azhar-u-din group and had killed six policemen in an attack in December 2022.
The police further added that the armed men were headed to Tank to carry out an attack, where they were targeted by the security forces.
Arms and ammunition were recovered from the dead terrorists’ possession.
The process of identifying the outlaws is underway, police officials added.
