Rawalpindi (September 13, 2018): The security forces killed four terrorists in an Intelligence Based Operation in South Waziristan while three army personnel were also martyred during the retaliation on Thursday, military media wing ISPR said in his statement.
According to ISPR, “Four terrorists were killed while a cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered,” adding that the killed terrorists were involved in an ambush on security forces in last December in which lieutenant Moeen has embraced martyrdom.
The operational level terrorist Aftab Paraky was also included in the killed terrorists, ISPR stated.
“Three security personnel- Naib Subedar Nazeer Ahmed Chandeo, spoy Fakhar and spoy Amir- were martyred in retaliation,” ISPR said.
ISPR mentioned that the area has been cleared after the operation.
In February 2017, Pakistan Army had launched a counter-terror operation named Radd-ul-Fasaad’ across the country and hundreds of militants have surrendered and several were killed after the operation was initiated.
The operation was aimed at indiscriminately eliminating residual and latent threat of terrorism, consolidating gains of operations made thus far and further ensuring the security of the borders.
