Karachi: The massive power breakdown across the country left Karachi without power almost 80 percent without electricity on Monday.
The areas wtihout power included Cliftion, Korangi, Malir, Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Nazimabad, Sadar and other areas are also affected.
Owing to the electricity break-down all the pumping stone have also closed resulted into suspension of water supply across the city. Whereas Karachi And Water Sewerage Board has urged the Karachiites not to waste water.
On the other hand, as many as 22 districts of Balochistan have been also hit by the break down as transmission line coming from Guddu to Quetta got tripped.
Restoration of the power can take several hours while all the grid stations of Lahore, Multan have been shut.
Orange Train service has also suspended owing to the power breakdown.
