CTD Identifies Prime Suspect Of Ali Raza Abidi Murder Case

KARACHI: Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Thursday identified the prime suspect of Ali Raza Abidi Murder Case.

According to sources within CTD, a 17 years old suspect Bilal opened fire on former Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P), by adding that CTD has obtained his image and will arrest him soon.

Anti-Terrorism Court has issued non-bailable warrants for the arrest of the four accused suspects for their alleged involvement on murdering Ali Raza Abidi.

CTD has already arrested four suspects in the said case which include Muhammad Farooq, Muhammad Ghazali, Abu Bakar and Abdul Haseeb.

The CTD has also revealed in a report submitted to ATC about absconding suspects that an unknown man distributed an amount of Rs0.8 million for the murder of former MQM-Leader. The attackers also burnt the motorcycle used in the attack.

According to report submitted Hasnain, Bilal, Ghulam Mustafa alias Kali Charan and Faizan were declared absconders. ATC however, ordered the CTD officials to arrest all the absconding suspects till next hearing and adjourned the case till an indefinite period of time.

It is pertinent to mention here that former MQM-P leader was gunned down by unknown armed assailants outside his residence on December 25.
