LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has issued show cause notice to world popular singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.
According to FBR, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan income tax audit of the year 2016 is being carried out while it has given seven day time to the famous singer to submit tax details.
FBR warned the singer if he did not submit all details within seven days then legal action will be taken against him.
The tax collecting body has sought details of all bank accounts of the singer in the country. The FBR also issued a notice to the singer over not paying the taxes.
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan did not pay an advance tax of a third quarter of the financial year of 2018-2019 until now. The FBR had in 2017 recovered Rs 105000, after freezing his all bank accounts.
