Islamabad: A special relief consignment has been dispatched for the earthquake victims of Syria through a charter flight from Islamabad on the directions of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
On this occasion, Minister for Education Rana Tanveer and the Syrian Ambassador were present at the airport.
The relief items include tents and blankets.
Pakistan has assured full cooperation to Syria in this hour of difficulty.
Pakistan will soon send more relief items to Syria and Turkiye via road.
On the directives of Government of Pakistan, the second C-130 aircraft of Pakistan Air Force carrying tents, blankets and essential items has reached Turkiye.
According to a Spokesperson of Pakistan Air Force, the C-130 Hercules aircraft is carrying 18634 pounds of humanitarian assistance relief goods from people of Pakistan for the earthquake affected brethren of Turkiye.
Pakistan Air Force is also making all-out efforts to repatriate stranded Pakistani students in coordination with Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan Embassy in Turkiye.
