Islamabad: Government on Wednesday night announced petroleum products rates according to which petrol and high speed diesel will remain unchanged for next fortnightly.
Federal Minister Ishaq Dar announcing the petroleum prices for the next-15 days apprised that prices of light diesel and kerosene oil are being reduced by Rs 7.30 and Rs 10 respectively.
The price of petrol in Pakistan will remain unchanged at Rs224.80 per litre for the next fortnight, December 1 to 15.
The finance minister also announced the extension of the date for filing tax returns after which citizens can file taxes by December 15.
Dar said that he had discussed the summary sent by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif as per practice.
After due deliberation on the matter, it was decided that prices of petrol and High Speed Diesel will be kept unchanged for the next fortnight.
The price of Kerosene Oil will be cut by Rs10 from Rs192.01 per liter currently to Rs182.01 for the next fortnight.
Similarly, price of Light Diesel Oil (LDO) has been cut by Rs7.5 from Rs186.5 per liter previously to Rs179.
