MULTAN: Veteran politician Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Sunday said that the federal government would complete its constitutional term, saying that if civilian governments complete their terms, it would bring stability in the country.
Talking to media at his Multan residence, Hashmi said that politicians like Sheikh Rashid repeatedly predict the government was not going to last two months.”But my prediction is that the government will complete its 5-year term,” he added.
He said that the Supreme Court had the power and authority to take any decision, adding that we must have trust in SC.
Regarding ‘Dawn leak’, the veteran politician said that the prime minister would defend himself.
He claimed that some institutions conspired his election defeat and separated him from politics. “However, my struggle for democracy is continued even today,” he added.
To a question he said that if today is Sheikh Rashid’s birthday then the day is unfortunate for the country.
