The government and the opposition have agreed for the formation of a committee to draft the Terms of Reference (ToRs) for Panama leaks enquiry for which the approval will be taken from the National Assembly today.
All the political parties attended the meeting chaired by Speaker for forming the parliamentary committee for the drafting the ToRs for the Judicial Commission.
Addressing the meeting federal Information Minister Senator Pervez Rasheed said that the said committee will be responsible for deciding the ToRs for inquiry of Panama papers, offshore companies, corruption, kickbacks, and loans that were written-off.
Leader of Opposition Khursheed Shah said at the meeting that attempt would be made for drafting of mutually agreed ToRs but the inquiry of Panama papers will be the priority.
Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the approval for the committee will be taken from the National Assembly with a consensus and the committee will decide the ToRs within two weeks.
The committee will have six government and six opposition members.
