Indian HC Summoned to FO Over WB Firing

Islamabad (September 22, 2017): Indian High Commissioner Gautam Bambawale was summoned to Foreign Office on Friday over the unprovoked firing from across working boundary.

Pakistan summoned the Indian HC to Foreign Office and a demarche was handed over to him, lodging strong protest over martyrdom of civilian in Indian Army firing from across the working boundary in Sialkot.

It is to be mentioned here that at least six people, including four women, were killed and 20 others injured near the Working Boundary in Sialkot on Thursday as Indian forces “resorted to unprovoked firing of mortars targeting civilians.

The mortar shells were fired on the village of Bini Sulariyan in the Charwah sector.

At least 26 people were also injured in the cross-border firing and shelling in the Harpal, Sajeetgarh and Charwah sectors.
