ISLAMABAD: All Parties Conference (APC) hosted by Jamiat Ulmae Islam- Fazal (JUI-F) is underway in Islamabad attended by the opposition parties which included Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and others wherein a movement against the government and strategy for the government budget is being consulted.
A 10-member PML-N delegation is attending the APC in the chair of Vice-president Maryam Nawaz and President Shahbaz Sharif, while PPP, Awami National Party (ANP), Pakhtunkhwa Mili Awami Party (PKMAP), MMA and other parties are attending the APC.
It is likely that a Rehbar Committee consisting up of all parties chief will be constituted which will form lay-out a national charted and charter of the economy in the APC.
The Rehbar committee will also prepare a future political strategy and determine the targets of the opposition parties while it will also form a national agenda on risks and challenges faced by the country on internal and external fronts.
The JUI-F chief will present his demand for new elections in the country while PPP will argue a constitutional change in the parliament. The PML will advise a reconciliatory approach towards the government and stress upon the protection of the parliament.while he will also present people’s agenda in the meeting.
A key opposition party Jamat-e-Islami (JI) is attending the APC while other MMA parties are attending the moot while Baluchsitan National Party (BNP) all of sudden refused to attend the APC and he informed regarding his absence to the JUIF.
