Lahore: National Cricket Team Off to Zimbabwe Tour

Lahore (28 June, 2018): Pakistan cricket team left for Zimbabwe tour from Allama Iqbal International Airport of Lahore, via private airlines. Pakistani team will feature in a T-20 series with hosts Zimbabwe and Australia, which will start from July 1. Pakistan will also play five-match ODI series against Zimbabwe.

Players of the national cricket team couldn’t practice a day before leaving for Zimbabwe, due to the raining in Lahore since two days.of two days in Lahore. In the T20 tri-series, Pakistani team will play 2 matches each, against Zimbabwe and Australia. The final of the tournament will be played on July 8.In Zimbabwe, later a series of 5 ODI will be played after T20, in which only Pakistan and Zimbabwe will participate. ODI matches between Pakistan and Zimbabwe will begin on July 13.

Mohammad Hafeez, Shadab Khan, Faheem Ashraf and Shoaib Malik, including captain Sarfaraz Ahmed are selected as national squad for Zimbabwe tour. The team also includes Asif Ali, Hassan Ali, Haris Sohail, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Amir and Usman Khan. Asif Ali has been added in the one-day squad for the first time while Junaid Khan and Yasir Shah has returned to team.
