Mandi Bahauddin (April 25, 2018): Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said on Wednesday that the politics in the country has become infamous today.

The PTI chairman while addressing a rally to welcome former Pakistan Peoples Party leader Nadem Afzal Chan in his party’s fold said that up till now the state has made rich-friendly policies but when his party will come in power it will cater to the interests of poor.

Imran Khan said that his party will introduce a system where poor can have the opportunity to move to the upper strata of the society.

“Being silent in front of the oppressors is a sin if we come to power children of farmers will get a quality education,” Imran said in the rally.

The PTI chief said that Chan’s joining in his party will be better for the people of Mandi Bahauddin and hailed the leader for carrying a ‘political background’.Imran said that the sugarcane farmers are not getting the appropriate price from the sugarcane mill owners, adding that he will put his maximum effort to get a better rate for the farmers.

Taking a jibe at Chan’s former party, he said that the PPP has moved far away from the Bhuttoism’s ideals.

“Quaid called for a welfare state. I am loyal till I stand for the party’s manifesto but if I start making palaces on the money of poor there is no need for the people to call me their leader,” he said.

He added that the poor in country dont get basic fescilities of hospital and education.Khan asserted that inclusion of Chan would be in greater benefit of the local masses. He said masses had been deprived of basic necessities in Pakistan while apprising attendants 25 million children were out of school. Khan deplored that famers were not given appropriate rates for their crops.

“Those nations do not progress who fail to stand with underprivileged”, warned Khan while adding, “In Naya [new in English] Pakistan, rights would be given to the weaker segments of society”.

Khan apprised Pakistan Peoples Party that ‘Bhuttoism’ means to raise voice for the lay man.

Speaking on the occasion, the new-entrant Chan said that he will always has affection for the PPP but he has left his former party for the sake of the people.“We are with Imran in his Jihad against Nawaz,” he said. None other than Imran can send Nawaz jail, and that is why I support him unconditionally,” he said.

Chan said that he remains committed with the Bhuttoism ideology but if the PPP’s ideology is now Sharjeel Memon (a PPP leader facing corruption charges) then he is better without it.

He claimed that only Imran Khan could dethrone Nawaz Sharif.

“I prefer masses over ideology. I joined ranks of Imran Khan to raise voice against ‘spiritual child’ of Zia-ul-Haq”, uttered Chan while adding at the same time, “If the name of ideology is Sharjeel Memom, then I am a rebel. If the name of ideology is Bhutoism, then I am still follower of Bhutto”.Chan forecasted that Khan would gain power soon.

On April 19, Nadeem Afzal Chan met with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan at his residence in Bani Gala and invited him to his residence on April 25. The invitation was accepted by Imran Khan.

The statement said, Jahangir Khan Tareen, Shah Mehmood Qureshi were also present during the meeting in which Chan applauded the efforts of the PTI and its chief against corruption in the country.

On October 20, 2017, PPP Punjab Secretary General Nadeem Afzal Chan resigned from his post, reasoning that he resigned from the post as his brother Waseem Afzal joined political rival, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).However, sources revealed that the leader’s resignation was not accepted by PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, who instead directed Nadeem to continue working on the post.

Later, co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari summoned the political leader to Lahore.“Since my brother has joined political opponent, I should resign from the post on ethical grounds,” he remarked.

“I am leaving the post, not the party,” the politician had shared, adding “I am faithful to the party and continue to work for it.”

The party is going through the worst crisis of its history in Punjab as it has lost most of the by-elections recently held in the province.Earlier, Firdos Ashiq Awan, Nazr Gondal and many other left the PPP to join the Imran Khan led party.,

Reports about Chan joining the PTI has been doing the rounds for the last few months .
