LAHORE: National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference against a group involved in blackmailing chairman anti-corruption watchdog and other people.
The anti-graft body Lahore chapter has filed the reference consisting up of 630 pages in the Lahore accountability Court.
Declaring falsifier couple Taiba Gull alias Pinki and Farooq Nool as a prime accused the graft-buster body of the view that the accused looted millions of rupees from common man through falsification.
The accused couple has been arrested on January 15 and 36 witnesses recorded statements against them.
Details of money transferred to the accused, bank record and other documents have been made part of the NAB reference.
According to the NAB prosecutor, the accused couples’ plundered people in the pretext to solving their problem through their relationship with businessmen, NAB and intelligence agencies.
Accountability Court (AC) judge Jawad Ul Hassan issuing a notice to accused and investigation officer summoned them on June 17.
