KARACHI: The anti-graft body of the country, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has filed a reference against Chairman of Pak Sar Zameen Party (PSP) Syed Mustafa Kamal and others.

In the reference filed by the NAB, it alleges that the PSP chairman and others have an allegation that they illegally allotted land measuring 5000 square feet on the seashore while the other accused included former Director General Sindh Building Control Authority SBCA Iftikhar Qaimkhani, Fazal Ur Rehman, Mumtaz Hyder and Nazeer Zardari.

According to the NAB reference, the land was allotted to hawkers and shopkeepers on a lease back in 1980, however in 2005, builders acquired the whole of the land on the lease and the former mayor Syed Mustafa Kamal permitted them illegally to construct high rise buildings.
