Rawalpindi (September 22, 2018): At least nine terrorists killed while seven security personnel martyred in an intelligence-based operation in North Waziristan on Saturday, said military media wing Inter Services Public Relation (ISPR) in a statement.
According to ISPR, armed forces conducted IBO in North Waziristan and during the operation, nine terrorists were killed, however, in terrorists retaliated seven security personnel including a major embraced martyrdom.

The terrorists came from another side of the border and they were hidden in a compound of a house, ISPR said.
“In an intense exchange of fire, seven Pakistan Army soldiers including an officer embraced Shahadat. Those who embraced martyrdom include Capt Junaid, Havaldar AMIR, Havaldar Atif, Havaldar Nasir, Havaldar Abdul Razzaq, Sep Sammi, Sep Anwar,” the ISPR added.
According to the army, the area has been cleared and identification of killed terrorists is in progress.
On September 13, the security forces killed four terrorists in an Intelligence Based Operation in South Waziristan while three army personnel were also martyred during the retaliation, military media wing ISPR said in his statement.
According to ISPR, “Four terrorists were killed while a cache of arms and ammunition was also recovered,” adding that the killed terrorists were involved in an ambush on security forces in last December in which lieutenant Moeen has embraced martyrdom.
The operational level terrorist Aftab Paraky was also included in the killed terrorists, ISPR stated.
“Three security personnel- Naib Subedar Nazeer Ahmed Chandeo, spoy Fakhar and spoy Amir- were martyred in retaliation,” ISPR said.
