Pakistan Expresses Concerns Over Anti-Pakistan Slogans

Islamabad (November 3, 2017): Pakistan has expressed its serious concerns over anti-Pakistan slogans on taxis in London.

Foreign Secretary contacted British High Commissioner Thomas Drew on Friday to convey Pakistan’s concerns over the display of slogans on cabs in London that directly attacked the country’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.According to the Foreign Office, the high commissioner was informed that Pakistan rejected the actions and advertisements displaying malicious content that impinged on its sovereignty and territorial integrity.The issue is also being raised with the Foreign and Commonwealth Office by the Pakistan High Commissioner in London, it added.

Janjua said Pakistan is aware of the intentions of such sinister and malicious campaigns, which should not be allowed on the soil of a friendly country.

Earlier, British High Commissioner Thomas Drew called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at the General Headquarters.

British HC and Army Chief discussed matters of mutual interest and regional security in the meeting.
