Pakistan Will Face England In Second Test Today

Web Desk (June 01, 2018): Pakistan will face England in the second and last test of the two-match series at Headingly cricket ground today.

Pakistan Cricket team has arrived in Leeds for the second test against England.

Pakistan is leading the series with 1-0, after winning the Lord’s Test by nine wickets.

Middle-order batsman Usman Salahuddin will replace injured Babar Azam for the second Test, The 27-year old Salahuddin, who has made two ODI appearances for Pakistan in the past, was named in the squad for England tour after an impressive stint in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy. He averages 46.53 in the 99 first-class matches he has played.Salahuddin also scored 69 in Pakistan’s warm-up match against Leicestershire, and is now all set for his Test debut at Leed’s.English player Keaton Jennings has replaced Mark Stoneman in England’s squad.

Surrey left-arm swing bowler Sam Curran has received a late-call-up into England´s squad for the second Test against Pakistan as cover for all-rounder Ben Stokes, who has a tight left hamstring.

Stokes is yet to have a scan but will be assessed by England medical staff on Thursday.

This month saw Curran claim his maiden 10-wicket haul in first-class cricket.

The 19-year-old took 10 for 101 across two innings as Surrey thrashed Yorkshire by an innings and 17 runs in a First Division County Championship fixture at The Oval, with his victims including England captain Joe Root and India batsman Cheteshwar Pujara, whom he dismissed twice.

If victorious, this would be Greens Shirts first test series victory in England against England since 1996.
