President Erdogan Announces Turkey’s New Cabinet

Ankara (July 10, 2018): President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan has announced the new ministers of his cabinet while he appointed his son-in-law Berat Albayrak as the Finance Minister.

According to International News Agency, Mr. Erdogan, who has been at the helm of Turkish politics since 2003, received a fresh mandate from voters last month in which Fuat Oktay was named as vice president.The foreign minister, Mevlut Cavusoglu kept his position of foreign minister and the former army chief of staff, Hulusi Akar was named as defense minister.

Mr. Erdogan named his son-in-law, Berat Albayrak, as treasury and finance minister. He is the former energy minister.

Presidents of 22 countries including Mamnoon Hussain, President of Pakistan, were present at the swearing-in ceremony of Turkish President.On June 24, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan won a new mandate in presidential elections in the first round of voting by winning more than half of the votes.
