Several leaders of TTP are in asylum of Afghanistan: Khawaja Asif

Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said that there are 78 crossing points between Pakistan and Afghanistan while Chaman and Torkham are main crossing points, Border Management is compulsory but Pakistan would not move a step back from the Border Management.He added that he Tehreek-e Taliban Pakistan has support of Afghan institutes, several TTP leaders are in asylum of Afghanistan.

While expressing his views he said that Afghan government says that “terrorists enter into Afghanistan from Pakistan” while they said that terrorists come into Pakistan from Afghanistan that’s why Border Management is the solution of problems of both countries, would not get a step back from this.

He added that there are 78 crossing points between Pakistan and Afghanistan, 16 are notified while nine are closed.They have told Afghan officials that two gates are constructing at Torkham, despite that on the place of Torkham gate construction, an official was injured from firing.On 13 June, Afghan soldiers fired mortar shells, leaving Major Jawad martyred and nine citizens injured.

Khawaja Asif said that 30 lakh Afghan refugees live on their land, who have been living there from three decades.
