South Africa Set 189 Runs Target To Chase For Pakistan

Johannesburg: South Africa has given ton of 189 runs to chase for the green shirts in second T-20 match here.

The protease skipper in the match scored undefeated 65 runs just in 29 balls.

South African openers, Reeza Hendricks and the debutante Janneman Malan gave South Africa a decent start as they took their side to 44 runs at the end of powerplay play during the second T20I of the series.

The protease were hitting boundaries in each over, but Imad Wasim kept the runs dried from his end with his tight line and length.

Malan looked to cut loose against the slow-left arm bowler in the ninth over as he came down the wicket but missed the line and got stumped for 33 (31).

Pakistan were looking to pull the things back after getting rid of Van der Dussen when rain the stopped the play after Miller deposited the first delivery of Hasan Ali of the 18th over into the stands for a maximum.

As the match resumed, David Miller showed how dangerous he can be. Miller played an astounding inning of 65 runs off 29 deliveries, with the help of four 4’s and five 6’s.

Shinwari conceded 29 runs in the last over, Miller struck three 6’s and two 4’s in the over that took his side to a handsome total of 188/3.

Imad Wasim remained the pick of the bowler with one wicket for 9 runs in four overs, while Afridi struck once for 27 runs. Usman Shinwari leaked 63 runs in four overs, whereas Hasan Ali conceded 48 runs.
