Lahore: The National Party president and former chief minister of Balochistan Dr Abdul Malik Baloch held a meeting with PML-N supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif on Wednesday, today, in Lahore.
During the meeting, they discussed the recent events and growing terrorism in Balochistan.
The two leaders exchanged views on the deteriorating security situation in the province and ways to ensure long-term peace and development.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Dr Abdul Malik Baloch said ” he had requested Nawaz Sharif to play a proactive role in addressing Balochistan’s issues”.
He said Nawaz Sharif had assured full support and commitment to playing his role for the betterment of the province.
“Given the gravity of the situation, Nawaz Sharif’s involvement is of great significance,” said the National Party leader.
On the occasion, the PML-N president hosted a luncheon in honour of the National Party delegation, attended by senior leaders from both parties.
Prominent attendees included Speaker National Assembly, Ayaz Saddiq, Khawaja Asif, Khawaja Saad Rafique, Pervaiz Rashid, Ahsan Iqbal, and others.
