Anti-Terrorism Court of Gujranwala has extended the interim bails Umar Ayub and Zartaj Gul until January 17, in connection with the ongoing investigation into the May 9 riots.
In the ATC Gujranwala May 9 rioting, vandalism and arson case, the hearing on the interim bail applications of PTI leaders was held, Zartaj Gul appeared in the court while Umar Ayub could not appear today.
Opposition leader Umar Ayub’s application for exemption from attendance was submitted to the court.
It was argued in the petition that in various courts including Islamabad.
The position was taken in the application that Gujranwala cannot appear due to the appearance in various courts including Islamabad today, on which the court accepted the request of Umar Ayub for exemption from today’s appearance.
Court has extended the interim bail and adjourned the hearing till 17 January.
