Karachi: Federal government has handed over as many as 50 fire tenders and two bowsers to Karachi administration today.
Addressing a ceremony of handing over the fire tenders to Karachi administration, Governor Sindh Imran Ismail said that the fire tenders and water bowsers are a gift of Prime Minister Imran Khan for Karachi adding that these fire tenders and water bowsers are purchased from Rs 1.30 billion.
Imran Ismail said that Federal government has responsibility to look after the fire engines adding that bowsers of 18 thousands capacity are modern and bowsers of such standard never came to Karachi.
Talking at the occasion, Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said that a biggest joint venture is going to happen in the history of Pakistan which will be happened under the CPEC.
Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar said that modern transport system will be seen in Karachi soon adding that a new alternative railway line will be rolled up to pepry. He said that From July to August Green line Bus system will start its operation.
Federal Minister for IT Ameen Ul Haq said that no hindrance in the development projects of Karachi will be tolerated adding that tender has given for Karachi green line buses. While K-4 project has been handed over to the federal Government and all the development projects will be completed with timeline.
He said that buses for green line project will arrive in June 2021.
