Islamabad (April 09, 2018): The first session of the Senate after the election of chairman and deputy chairman Senate commenced today with the newly elected Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani presiding over the proceedings.
Today is the private members day in the Senate proceedings and as per the agenda issued from Senate secretariat, the two resolutions from Senators Shibli Faraz and Azam Moosa Khel pertaining to pensions for retired employees and funds for new passport office in PSDP receptively would be tabled.
Senator Sheikh Atique would present a resolution on life-saving drugs while the Mir Kabir would preset resolution for implementation on Aaghaz-e-Huqooq-e-Balochistan package in true letter and spirit.
Resolution from Chaudhry Tanveer on improving Pakistan Television Network would also be tabled along with a bill from Samina Saeed on Free and Compulsory education Amendment Bill 2018 would also be tabled in the house.
JI chief Siraj ul Haq and Opposition Leader in Senate Sherry Rehman would also lay their motions in the house pertaining to taxes on fuel prices and deteriorating condition of health care system respectively.
