ISLAMABAD: Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi left today for a three-day visit to Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Iran.
According to Foreign Office, during this visit, the Foreign Minister will hold meetings with the top leadership of these countries to discuss issues of mutual interest, including regional security and the evolving situation in Afghanistan.
As Pakistan considers peace in Afghanistan a shared responsibility and the Foreign Minister will consult with the leadership of these countries to address the challenges and adopt a joint strategy in this regard.
Foreign Minister’s visit to the four countries is of special significance for the establishment of lasting peace in Afghanistan and the promotion of regional ties.
