Former Chief of Pakistan Navy Admiral Yestoor-ul-Haque burried with military honours

Rawalpindi: Former Chief of Pakistan Navy Admiral Yestoor-ul-Haque Malik was laid to rest with full military honors in Lahore.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), large number of retired and serving officers of the armed forces and civilians participated in the funeral prayers of late Yestoor-ul-Haq.

It was informed by the ISPR that floral wreaths were placed on the grave of Admiral Yestoor-ul-Haq Malik by the President, Prime Minister, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, Chiefs of Armed Forces and Navy officers and men.

According to the Public Relations Department of the Pakistan Army, Admiral Yesturul Haque Malik was commissioned in the Pakistan Navy in 1954. He also participated in the Indo-Pak wars of 1965 and 1971.

The late Admiral was the Chief of the Pakistan Navy from 1988 to 1991.

It was further informed by ISPR that the late former Naval Chief also served as Commander Pakistan Fleet, Vice Chief of the Naval Staff and Chairman Pakistan National Shipping Corporation.
