Web Desk(September 14, 2017): Pakistan Cricket Team former skipper Amir Sohail is celebrating his 51st birthday today.
All-rounder had played 47 Test and 156 ODIs for Pakistan. He also led Pakistan team in quarter-final of World Cup 1999 after Wasim Akram injury.
Pakistan’s prominent all-rounder was born on September 14, 1966 in Lahore. The left-handed and left-arm spinner represented 47 Test and 156 ODIs for National team.
He also got Pakistan’s captaincy in Test and ODI matches.
Saeed Anwar and Amir Sohail opening-pair had played key role for winning several matches to Pakistan.
Amir was given leadership in 1996 world cup quarter-final after Wasim Akram injury.
He scored 2,823 with the help of 5 centuries and 15 half-centuries in 47 Test match. His best score was 205 while he took 25 wickets through spin-bowling.
Besides Amir had made 4,780-runs with the help of 5 centuries and 31 half-century in 156 ODIs, whereas his best score was 134. He also took 85 wickets while his best bowling was 22/4.
