MUZAFFARABAD: The funeral prayers for the officers and soldiers who lost their lives in the Pakistan Army’s Mi-17 helicopter accident were conducted in Muzaffarabad today.
Senior officials, including the acting President and Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir, the Corps Commander Rawalpindi, along with high-ranking civil and military personnel, and a large gathering of citizens, participated in the Nimaz-e-Janaza.
A disciplined contingent of the Pakistan Army presented a salute in honor of the martyrs during the ceremony. Attendees expressed their deep respect and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the fallen heroes, and offered special prayers for their spiritual elevation.
Following the prayers, the bodies of the martyrs were transported to their respective hometowns, where they will be laid to rest with full military honors.
