KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a significant decline on Friday, reflecting a downward trend in the international bullion market.
According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of 24-karat gold fell by Rs3,600 per tola, bringing the new rate to Rs421,836.
The price of 10 grams of gold also dropped by Rs3,086, settling at Rs361,656.
A day earlier, gold had gained Rs400 per tola, closing at Rs425,436 before reversing course.
In the global market, gold prices declined by $36 per ounce, with the international rate standing at $3,994 per ounce, including a $20 premium.
Meanwhile, silver prices also moved lower, with the rate falling by Rs126 per tola to Rs6,029.
