Hearing of GHQ attack case postponed again due to Judge’s leave

RAWALPINDI: Hearing of the GHQ attack case against PTI founder Imran Khan and other accused has been postponed again.

The Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Amjad Ali Shah is on leave today, and all the accused have been informed about the judge’s absence. The Supreme Court’s order to complete the trial within four months has not yet reached the court.

Due to the judge’s absence, police personnel stationed outside the court have also been sent back, while the accused present in court were allowed to mark their attendance and leave.

During today’s hearing, two key witnesses, Magistrate Mujtaba and Sub-Inspector Riyaz, were summoned for the fifth time. This case has been pending for the last two months, and so far, only 25 out of 119 witnesses have recorded their statements.
