ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday directed to file a separate petition for issuance of a production order of PPP co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari over insistence to present him before the court.
Two member bench of the IHC consisting up of Justice Amir Farooq and Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani heard the PPP co-chairman bail petition in the park lane case.
As the hearing commenced, former president consul Farooq H Naik, informed the court he has to take instructions from Asif Ali Zardari but he was not brought to court and his presence in court necessary and insisted the court to issue his client production orders.
To which, Justice Amir Farooq asked that Asif Zardari has been arrested, did the state compel to present him before the court? On which, Farooq H Naik told the court if the court issue production orders for him his client can be produced before the court.
The bench ordered the former president counsel to file a separate petition for issuance of production orders of Asif Ali Zardari while Farooq H Naik informed the court that he will file the petition tomorrow.
The IHC bench adjourned the haring till June 17.
