Jhelum (November 10, 2017): A panchayat, which is primarily a group of influential elderly men whose orders and decrees are respected and obeyed by the village communities in India and Pakistan, announcing a shocking verdict in a case pertaining to illicit relations ordered a married woman get married to her paramour without getting divorce from her husband.
The ignominious act has come to light after younger brother of the woman Tayyeba Bibi registered a case against her, her paramour, and ten members of the village court, for marrying her off to paramour while still remaining married.
According to details the husband of Tayyeba Bibi, who is mother of six children, is working overseas,
Jhelum police station has registered the case and has initiated investigations.
