DOHA: Pakistani community in Qatar celebrated Independence day with national pomp and show while a great number of Pakistani attended the ceremony held in the Pakistani consulate in Doha.
Pakistani ambassador in Qatar Syed Ahsan Raza hoisted Pakistani flag while an alert contingent of Pakistan army saluted the national flag.
The messages of President and Prime Minister were read at the occasion.
In his address, Syed Ahsan Raza this day reminds sacrifices rendered for the creation of the country adding that Pakistan and Qatar relations are getting stronger by the visit of Emir Qatar Shiekh Tamim Bin Ahmed Sani to Pakistan.
At the end of the ceremony, a resolution was presented against Indian illegal move to change the special status of occupied Kashmir.
