Lahore: Chances of on going Pakistan Super League -10 matches likely to be cancelled owing to the constant Indian aggression and infiltration in Pakistan.
The Interior Ministry and Pakistan Cricket Board Officials have called a vital meeting today which will be meet shortly.
Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise owners will attend the meeting today at 4pm here at Gaddafi Stadium.
With the current national circumstances in mind, the meeting primarily focused on the challenges surrounding the remaining matches of the PSL and the upcoming series against Bangladesh.
The huddle will set future course of the PSL-10 remaining matches, sources said.
Sources said that due to security situation and closure of air space can pose a complicated situation.
The decision has been taken after the security forces shot down a drone in Rawalpindi cricket stadium.
In light of these challenges, the possibility of transferring some PSL matches to Karachi will also be considered.
However, sources emphasised that immediate relocation of the matches was not feasible due to limited time and the suspension of airspace.
This has complicated the logistics, as the PCB typically relies on charter flights to transport players between cities.
The meeting will also include senior PCB officials and representatives from law enforcement agencies.
The primary focus of this gathering will be to address the security situation in Rawalpindi, assess the safety of the teams and evaluate alternative plans to ensure the continuation of the tournament.
