ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, vehemently dismissed recent Indian claims that its forces shot down Pakistani F-16 and JF-17 aircraft, describing them as “lies and fabricated stories” meant to conceal India’s frustration and failures.
Addressing the media, Tarar reaffirmed Pakistan’s clear stance, emphasizing that the country has not targeted occupied Kashmir nor conducted cross-border attacks to date. He stated, “Our Air Force has not suffered any damage. The allegations of downed aircraft are baseless and false.”
Tarar pointed to the events of May 6 and 7, asserting that India faced consequences for its unprovoked aggression, and criticized Indian media for spreading false narratives to hide their shortcomings. “Pakistan has only taken measures in self-defense,” he clarified.
In addition, the Minister confirmed that Pakistan’s Air Defence successfully intercepted and shot down an Indian Heroine drone in Bahawalnagar, further asserting Pakistan’s readiness and resolve in defending its sovereignty.
The Pakistani government continues to assert that its actions are defensive and proportionate, calling on the international community to recognize the truth behind the narratives being propagated by India.
