Gaza: Israeli forces in their unabated strikes have martyred 50 more Palestinians in Gaza.
The death toll from the Israeli air raids in Gaza since dawn has risen from nine to 13, medical sources told Al Jazeera.
Among those killed in the attacks was journalist Helmi al-Faqawi. He was in a tent sheltering journalists near Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis when the Israeli forces struck.
At least three people have been killed in Israeli shelling that hit Wadi al-Arayes Street in the Zeitoun district of Gaza City.
Israel has launched air strikes near Al-Aqsa Hospital in central Gaza, casualties reported after Israeli forces launch attacks near Gaza’s Al-Aqsa Hospital as well as wounding several people.
The Quds News Network said that the Israeli raids hit tents housing displaced people near the hospital.
Israeli airstrike kills eight in Khan Younis, Gaza
Meanwhile, the Israeli army has issued forced evacuation orders for part of Deir el-Balah.
Israeli forces bombed a house in the southern Gaza city of Khan Younis, killing at least eight people, including a child, medics said.
Several others remain missing beneath the rubble. The attack followed a day of heavy Israeli strikes across Gaza, pushing Sunday’s death toll past 50.
Earlier the same day, 19 Palestinians were killed in a separate strike on Khan Younis.
The continued bombardment has intensified fears for civilians trapped in the conflict, with rescue workers still searching for survivors in the debris.
Save the Children says at least fifteen thousand children have been martyred in the Gaza in Israeli attacks during the last one and half years.
The martyrdom toll of Palestinians in Israeli aggression in Gaza enclave has risen to over fifty thousand and six hundred, since October 2023.
Hamas fires rockets at Israeli cities
Palestinian group Hamas said it fired a barrage of rockets at cities in Israel’s south on Sunday in response to Israeli “massacres” of civilians in Gaza.
Israel’s military said about 10 projectiles were fired. Israel’s Channel 12 reported a direct hit in the southern city of Ashkelon.
Israeli emergency services said they were treating one person for shrapnel injuries, and teams were en route to locations of fallen rockets.
Smashed car windows and debris lay strewn on a city street, videos disseminated by Israeli emergency services showed.
Israel’s Channel 12 television said at least 12 lightly injured people have been treated as a result of the rocket firing from Gaza, quoting officials at the Bazilai Hospital in Ashkelon.
