Lahore (August 18, 2017): Lawyers have converged on ousted prime minister’s Jati Umra estate in Raiwind to give him legal advice and discuss matters related to National Accountability Bureau’s summons directing him and two sons- Hassan and Hussain- to appear before the three-member NAB Rawalpinndi team today at 11 a.m.
The NAB investigation from the Sharifs is expected to be held today here during which questions pertaining to Al Azizia Steel Mills and London flats would be asked.
However, it is not clear whether Nawaz and his sons would appear before the anti-graft body team today. A spokesman of PML-N has rejected outright the reports of receiving summon notice by Nawaz and his sons.
The PML-N spokesman and other leaders are continuously denying that Sharifs have received any notice from NAB.
On the other hands, sources told Abb Takk News that Sharif family legal team had arrived at Jati Umra and consultation over the notices and NAB proceeding was underway.
Sources said that NAB Lahore had requested Lahore police for provision of security in the wake of expected appearance of Nawaz and his sons before a team of the Bureau. Some 200 police personnel have been deployed at Lahore Office of the Bureau following the request.
