Jahangir Tareen And Son Interim Bail Extended Till May 3

LAHORE: A Banking Court in Lahore has on Saturday extended estranged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Jahangir Tareen and his son Ali Tareen’s interim bails in fake bank accounts case till May 3.

Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen appeared before Judge Ameer Muhammad Khan as their counsel told the court that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) sent notices to his clients on April 14 and summoned record of all businesses of the PTI leader including dairy farms.

The lawyer argued that it was not possible to submit all record on a day’s notice, particularly due to the law and order situation. He told the court that Jahangir Tareen and Ali Tareen will appear before the investigation agency on April 19. The court adjourned the hearing till May 3.

Talking to media outside the court, Jehangir Tareen said that he don’t know who is doing his character assassination but it will be found while he added that in all the three cases there is no allegations of increasing sugar prices.

He said that he did’nt start his buisness after comming to politics adding that baseless and false stories are being made against him. The PTI stalwart said that there is no relation of sugar prices in the FIR. He added that “I don’t know who is behind registering FIR against me.”

Jehangir Tareen said that the FIR has been registered for eight to 10 years old issues while he went on to say SECP should handle this case.
