Karachi: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Karachi on Monday announced staging protest today across the city against the worst loadshedding conducted by K-electric.
As per the JI spokesperson, the protest will be staged at more than 10 important highways of the city.
The JI Karachi Chief Munam Zafar Khan has said that 12 to 18 hours loadshedding is being conducted in the city which made the citizens severely restless.
Munam Zafar demanded that the K-electric licence should be cancelled and electricity be provided to Karachi from the national grid.
He said that the masses were facing the worst loadshedding despite purchasing the most expensive electricity.
He said that K-electric power generation has been decreased but its consumers have been almost doubled.
