Khursheed Shah Asks Court Not To Indulge In Security Issues

Islamabad (April 23, 2018): Opposition Leader in National Assembly Khursheed Shah has warned against the collision course between the judiciary and the government and said that the conflict between the institutions would have severe consequences.

In a statement issued today, the opposition leader said that the collision whether from any political party or judiciary will not have a good impact on the country.

“I had said earlier that Nawaz will return and the fight that he had initiated would turn into a big zero if he stays at there,” he said while referring to the slogans of giving respect to vote and anti-judiciary rhetoric from Nawaz Sharif.

He said that many PPP politicians were put on ECL but they would never adopt such a policy for putting name of Nawaz on ECL.

He further demanded of the federal government to only present the budget for four months as it is not the prerogative of the outgoing government to prepare a budget of next government.

Speaking on SC orders pertaining to withdrawal of VVIP security from politicians and other important figures, Shah said that the country is facing terrorism and if something happens to any politician then the court could be blamed.

“The court should not have interfered in such matters,” he added.
